Located right in the middle of a one-hectare green area, the restaurant is just out of Malcesine, far from the town bustle, in total harmony with the surrounding nature. In our restaurant you can sit down at wide wooden rustic-styled tables to taste wood-fired spit-roasted meat in the shade of the olive trees, which frame this heavenly corner. We are open from March to October, every day from noon to midnight. The kitchen closes at 11 p.m. With outdoor tables, and two heated halls, we allow our customers to find the place that suits them most. In summertime, the breeze blowing from Mount Baldo cool down the hottest days. And if you look out from the outdoor tables, you can see Lake Garda on the horizon. In our restaurant, you can have a fast meal, you can spend the whole afternoon with your family, or enjoy a tête-à-tête dinner with your lover… Your choice.

Our restaurant is ready to cater any kind of customer. If you wish to meet some mates here, we will serve one-litre beer tankards, with exclusive unpasteurised preservative-free beer. To finish up the night after sipping the coffee, a wide range of fruit-flavoured Schnaps, liquors and bitters. We highly recommend Mario’s tiramisu, strictly home-made… Eggs, mascarpone cheese, cream, Savoiardi biscuits — a non-alcoholic recipe which delights most of our customers. If you wish to come with your sweetheart, you’ll find a cosy corner where to stay tête-à-tête. In the nights of June you can see fireworks in Limone, on the eastern side of the lake… A moment to share with one’s own sweetheart after a dinner in the middle of the olive-trees. In the daytime, if you wish to stay in good shape, you can reach Malcesine by taking the new cycle-track which runs along the beach, and have a walk side-by-side with nature. And for the most demanding, a tour of Mount Baldo trails.

In the picture, the pie… Eggs, flour, butter and a bit of bilberry jam. We add also fresh fruit in season: apples, pears or plums… The home-made grandmother-flavoured cakes now available to all our customers.

On the front of the homestead, at the entry, you’ll find some big hanging barrels made of wood and engraved with our emblem: the eagle holding SPECK STUBE label.
The restaurant provides a large car-park, so that, at least at lunch, you don’t have to worry about your car or motorbike.
Not rarely, people who are used to hang around Verona side of Lake Garda in order to enjoy view and healthy air, move on to Malcesine.
A cool beer and a board of speck are the ideal snack.

A prerogative of a good meal is to enjoy one’s food in peace… For this reason, we have set up a play-ground with slides and see-saws close to the outdoor tables in the garden. While kids have fun, parents can relish their lunch or dinner in peace.

The kitchen is right in front of your eyes. You can check the way we work, the way the wood-fired spit roasts our products… Italian tested juicy meat. Self-service allows customers to decide how long they wish to stay with us. Meat and beer at the entry, coffee and cakes at the small stall in the garden.

In our restaurant we can cater large families and enable any family member to spend a peaceful day — fresh air, delicatessen roasted on our wood-fired spit for parents; steamed frankfurter and fries for kids. And to finish, some fun on the see-saw…

This completely renewed hall is the outcome of the works carried out in 2003. Facing stones to stay linked to the local tradition, and a wood-burning stove to warm the greyest days, make the atmosphere cosy.
In the same year, we renewed the bathrooms too. Something curious: the grating system on the ground to prevent shoes from getting dirty. Accurate details.

Here you can stay with your dog inside the restaurant as well, and if it behaves, it may chew the bone of your pork cannon-bone, or run on the grass. Please do not forget the leash; there might be other pets.  

We light up the wood-fired spit in the morning and it keeps turning all day long.
Chicken, pork cannon-bone and chops are flavoured with the right blend of spices, and then roasted.
With the wood-fired roasting, you are sure to get light and tasty meat — unique flavours to taste, and if you like, no need to use knife and fork.
